Printmaker and teacher, born in Singapore, who studied at Scarborough School of Art. His teaching appointments from 1965 included Chesterfield School of Art, Epsom School of Art and Design and part-time at Maidstone College of Art. A first solo show of his screenprints was given at William Weston Gallery in 1970. For that Peel wrote that he was “basically interested in space; either in the illusion of space on a two-dimensional surface, or real physical space or the association of shape, colour, surface, in relationship to space and environment.” Peel was included in The British Art Show, organised by the Arts Council in 1980, chosen by the critic William Packer. Group appearances included New Art Centre, Woodstock Gallery and Richard Demarco Gallery, Edinburgh.
